Practicing ESG Management... Milcheon City Cleanup Campaign Held for 50th Anniversary

Batucada Team Street Performance Also Held in Downtown Areas, Including Yeongnamnu Entrance

Hankuk Fiber(CEO Lee Jin-gwang), a local company in Miryang, Gyeongsangnam-do, and the nation's top composite material specialist, announced on the 20th that it held a ceremony celebrating its 50th anniversary.

The main event was held on the afternoon of the 20th, one day before the actual anniversary on the 21st, at the Arirang Art Center. Attended by executives, employees, and guests, the ceremony began with a commemorative address by CEO Lee Jin-gwang, reaffirming the company's commitment to a new start as a 100-year company.

Following this, Hankuk Fiber unveiled its new Corporate Identity (CI) and announced the vision, 'Jump to Global Top Tier,' signifying its ambition to leap beyond being the top domestic composite material company and succeed globally.

Prior to the event, to celebrate its 50th anniversary, Hankuk Fiber contributed scholarship funds to foster local talent and support the development of prestigious schools. Furthermore, it conducted environmental cleanup activities three times this month, taking the lead in improving the local environment.

On the day of the ceremony, prior to the main event, about 250 employees were divided into five courses to conduct environmental cleanup activities across the downtown area. A Batucada team street performance was also held along the routes, running from the main office to the west gate of Miryang City Hall, and from the Sammoon Riverside paddle boat dock to the entrance of Yeongnamnu Pavilion.

Hankuk Fiber stated, "We will leap forward to become a 'Sustainable 100-Year Company' that practices 'ESG management'—focused on environment, society, people, and value creation—based on 50 years of accumulated technology and a culture of mutual trust."

Meanwhile, Hankuk Fiber Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of New Power Plasma Co., Ltd. (CEO Wi Soon-im), is currently engaged in the defense, aerospace, fiberglass composite pipe, and interior/exterior rail vehicle components businesses. In alignment with the Green New Deal policy, the company is planning various eco-friendly projects, including hydrogen storage vessels, offshore wind power, and floating solar structures.
