Miryang City announced on the 4th that Hankuk Fiber donated 20 million Korean Won to the city on the 3rd as a contribution for neighbors in need.

The 20 million Won donated will be delivered to the Gyeongnam Community Chest of Korea, which is currently running the "Hope 2022 Sharing Campaign," and will be used for housing, heating, and educational expenses for low-income households in the jurisdiction.

Hankuk Fiber previously donated 20 million Won for year-end and New Year neighborly assistance in December 2020 and contributed 110 boxes of daily necessities to the Miryang City Disabled Welfare Center for the Seollal (Lunar New Year) holiday last year.

Miryang Mayor Park Il-ho expressed his gratitude, saying, "I am thankful for this warm gesture at a time when low-income households are facing greater difficulties due to the prolonged COVID-19 pandemic. The donated funds will be well delivered to our neighbors in need."

Meanwhile, Hankuk Fiber is a representative local company in Miryang and the nation's top composite material specialist, operating various businesses utilizing composite materials in the defense and aerospace industries, as well as fiberglass composite pipes. Last year, the company received a plaque of appreciation from Gyeongsangnam-do Province for its contributions to regional economic revitalization and job creation.
