Miryang City, Gyeongsangnam-do, announced that on the 21st, the Korean Red Cross Miryang District Council Volunteer Group held the 'Arirang Kimjang Sharing Festival' to support vulnerable households in the area, helping low-income neighbors prepare for a warm winter.

A total of about 100 people attended the event, including members of the Miryang Red Cross Volunteer Group, multicultural families, and North Korean defectors, as well as representatives from organizations like the Korea Electric Power Corporation (KEPCO) Miryang Branch, Nonghyup Miryang City Branch, Samyang Foods, Hankuk Fiber, and Yoo-Geum General Construction Co., Ltd. They prepared 1,200 heads of Kimchi and delivered them, along with 50 boxes of ramen, to 260 vulnerable households in the jurisdiction.

The Red Cross Volunteer Group stated that the Kimjang Sharing event is an occasion where both donors and recipients participate in the practice of sharing, expressing their hope that the Kimjang Kimchi will help neighbors in need have a warm winter.

Meanwhile, the Korean Red Cross Miryang District Council Volunteer Group practices service and sharing every year to support the settlement of North Korean defectors and low-income multicultural families, and to assist vulnerable groups within the city.
