"Leaping to Become a 100-Year Company Leading the Aerospace Era"

The New Power Plasma Group's Hankuk Fiber Co., Ltd. (CEO Choi Yong-gyun) announced on the 28th that it is changing its company name to 'SPACEPRO' as part of a new leap forward to become a 100-year company.

Hankuk Fiber, located in Bubeuk-myeon, Miryang City, is a specialist in composite materials, which are ultralight new materials combining carbon and glass fibers with polymer materials, since its founding in 1972.

The company explained that the name change was decided to move beyond the limitations of being the number one company in the composite materials field in Korea, where it has grown for the past 50 years, and to grow into a top company that provides advanced composite solutions across a broad spectrum, including SPACE, which represents the future of humanity.

Based on its experience successfully executing the Korean satellite launch vehicle project for over 20 years, from the Naro to the Nuri rocket, SPACEPRO is expected to play a major role during the national effort to make South Korea a powerhouse in the aerospace industry.

SPACEPRO official stated, "We will expand and strengthen our existing core defense business, solidify our position in the water/plant and rail mobility sectors, and take a leap forward as a 100-year company leading the aerospace era."
