Hankuk Fiber's 'Ultimate Quality' Team Wins Grand Prize for 'Shortening Inspection Time through Process Improvement'
Will Represent Gyeongsangnam-do at the National Competition in August
New Power Plasma Group's Hankuk Fiber announced on the 25th that it won the 'Grand Prize' and 'Excellence Award' respectively in the fields of quality improvement at the '2024 Gyeongsangnam-do Quality Control Circle Competition' held at the Changwon Convention Center in Gyeongnam on the 13th.
In this competition, hosted by Gyeongsangnam-do Province and organized by the Korean Standards Association (KSA), the 'Ultimate Quality' (극강품질) Quality Control Circle (QCC) from Hankuk Fiber's Aerospace and Defense Headquarters received the highest evaluation for its theme, 'Shortening Inspection Time through Process Improvement.'
Concurrently, the QCC 'Mir' was awarded the Excellence Award for its theme, 'Reducing Working Hours through Process Improvement.'
The Quality Control Circle Competition is renowned as "the most prestigious annual quality competition, held with the objective of selecting 'Outstanding QCCs' that achieve brilliant results in quality enhancement by autonomously improving on-site issues within local companies, thereby boosting corporate capability and efficiency through new technology and quality improvement."
An official from Hankuk Fiber stated, "The excellent performance achieved despite Hankuk Fiber's first entry into the Gyeongnam regional QCC competition is recognition of our commitment to quality improvement activities," and added, "We will continue our quality management efforts to provide the highest quality and service to our customers."
Hankuk Fiber's 'Ultimate Quality' QCC is scheduled to compete as the 'Gyeongsangnam-do Representative' in the '50th National Quality Control Circle Competition' to be held at the end of August.
