Hankuk Fiber, a carbon fiber composite material manufacturer, announced that it signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for production cooperation on military Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAVs)/tactical drones with the U.S. defense contractor AeroVironment (AV) at its second factory in Miryang City, Gyeongsangnam-do, on the 17th.
Lee Jin-gwang, CEO of Hankuk Fiber, and Tracey Stephenson, Senior Vice President of AeroVironment, signed the production cooperation MOU.
Hankuk Fiber explained that through the signing of this MOU, the two companies established a cooperative partnership, under which Hankuk Fiber will supply fuselage and wing components for tactical drones to AeroVironment.
